pjc Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 still awaiting a reply off them and a explanation off who?
pigeonman007 Posted May 13, 2009 Author Report Posted May 13, 2009 My mate bought the 6 ebony aardens that i mentioned at the start of this thread. All 6 of them look like they are at deaths door. He has had them 10days, 1 arrived blind in 1 eye and they agreed to refund his money all the others looked fine. They are now all looking like cr*p. All mopping around, no life in them, lost stacks of weight, head dropped all the time, feathers not held tight. He too is a new starter and thought perhaps he had done something wrong by the birds but looking at the other posts perhaps its down to the origin of the birds? Luckily if you can call any of the above lucky, he has not yet got any other young birds yet so the 'disease' has not claimed any other birds. He has a local fancier coming to help him out and he has been promised more young from local fanciers. I am going to tell him he should consider seeking a refund as it does seem that the problem is not of his making.
weirbridge Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 i would also suggest culling asap its not a very nice experience

He is going to send the rings back to them tomorrow and try to obtain a refund. He has no other birds, his loft is brand new, they havent even been out yet
Roland Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 At least you've got birds that fly, not generation removed bred for pretty colours! ;D ;D ;D Well s bit furthe away from 3 generations, if carried on racing and getting good crosses I don't care if the original was written with the doomsday book lol ;D ;D.... that matters not a jot lol.... and Am starting to collect and hopefully just race the pretty colours
Craig05 Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Sent the ring back, and the bird was replaced.
pigeonman007 Posted May 13, 2009 Author Report Posted May 13, 2009 Sent the ring back, and the bird was replaced. All the others ok, or did they have probs too?
Craig05 Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Have had endless problems. the replacment is the only one that survived. have had some youngsters from local guys and they seem fine now, fingers crossed i couldnt go through that again
Guest wattle Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Think that's a bit strong matey. you might think its a bit strong but you are not after losing 35 of your own birds because of sh-t you brought in from that stud, including the 12 i both from them all dead. >
milecrosslofts Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 Hi all, Saw some nice looking ebony aardens on Louella webcam yesterday, just wondering if anyone keeps these pigeons and are they successful at distance or more shorter distance? Incidentally they were on Louella site for £150 for 6 no pedigree or £360 for 6 with pedigree.... expensive pieces of paper lol had a hen gave to me i got a cock for her bread some ybs of them lost all them and lost the cock and hen to lol.think they tipplers lol
