Shortcut Lofts Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 talking about one loft races does anyone know how the auction for the galway one loft race birds went ?............. Results were on pigeonnetwork. Winner sold for 500 euro. Alot of birds averaged 40 - 50 euro each.
Shortcut Lofts Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Auction results are also on the Galway web site www.westwingslofts.com
mcclaff Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 yes and 1 or 2 other 1 loft races also Came 4th in one of the hot spot races in the Emerald Classic last year, yes that's last year and still haven't been paid for it. John Boyd, (owner) sent me the cheque but it was made of rubber, or as he put it i waited too long to cash it, though he hasn't sent me another as yet. I've heard through the grapevine that i'm not the only one. After numerous emails and phone calls to him as recent as last week i'm still empty handed. Is the RPRA responsible for governing One Loft Races in these Isles i.e. can i report this to them and will they do anything about it? I'm fed up listening to his excuses and don't even want to talk to the man anymore. I know i could hire a solicitor but i don't want the expense of that either. > > >
Guest paulrstokes Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Hi Chrissy Sun City race, I send and go out every year, great experience, we save the pennies and combine with a family holiday. Sun City itself can be expensive as it is a captive resort, however there is no reason you cannot take in the race etc for a few days, and then see othger parts of Africa which are excellent value for money. The race itself is a good event, and I think the first year I went over 5000 people turned up to watch. We have sent 6 out this year, 2 teams of 3, and we have a six strong syndicate so it helps with the cost. PM me your address and I can send you a copy of the promnotional dvd if you have not already seen it Paul
chrissy Posted September 9, 2009 Author Report Posted September 9, 2009 Sun City,Las Vegas,Gran Canaria, who needs em when you've got Somerset,Galway and Wales
