PIGEON_MAN Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Be interested to hear from any forum members about their returns last Saturday from Fougeres with NFC and if any of the mssing birds have been reported. Most people here in the South West had a very difficult race with a lot of young birds still missing - although old hens returns seem to have been good even if they made heavy going off it against the north west wind. Only had 1 back on the day with another 4 the next morning, still 5 away with nothing being reported, locally most fanciers only had 1 back with 1 fancier having 2 and another not clocking, people who sent old birds seem to have faired better,
rembrant2coo Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Flying in sect D we sent 6 y/birds and 2 old hens ,never seen a young bird and we timed old hen at 07-09 in the morning and finished up 8th section , in that sect we tend to take a hammering when the wind ,was as fierce as it was on saturday ,but we have to grin and bare as it could be different another day, and in our favour Sect D is a really tough sect to fly into if the weather is not right for you ,But my mate bob just carries on and we say we will top the sect one day and the rest is a bonus .
jonj1978 Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 sent 9 over channel that weekend 4 to northern classic got 2 on day no more back sent 5 to nfc got 1 on day 1 next morning still no more back.. poor
