pigeonpete Posted May 13, 2009 Author Report Posted May 13, 2009 all birds have to be listed before marking day (thats how it used to be ) :) you dont have to list exact birds, just exact numbers i think.
Guest shadow Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 you dont have to list exact birds, just exact numbers i think. all ring numbers and description ie cocks or hens and in seperate baskets

PIGEON_MAN Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 all birds have to be listed before marking day (thats how it used to be ) :) Only the amount you are sending have to be listed before marking day, then on marking day birds have to be listed with cocks and hens kept separate.
Ronnie Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Will see you at taylors pete hopefully .Will give them a fianl check this week and if all is ok i will send about 5
pigeonpete Posted September 4, 2009 Author Report Posted September 4, 2009 Well could be a toughie from fougeres tom, with the stong wind for the ybs, i sent 3 old hens, has anyone else sent? and where do you think the winners will be? good luck to all that have sent :-)
PIGEON_MAN Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Sent 10 youngsters but by the look of that west wind they will have a tough fly.
magpie Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Be interested to hear from any forum members about their returns last Saturday from Fougeres with NFC and if any of the mssing birds have been reported. Most people here in the South West had a very difficult race with a lot of young birds still missing - although old hens returns seem to have been good even if they made heavy going off it against the north west wind.
john@formula 1 lofts Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 I did not send NFC but did send L&SECC on same day i sent 13 and have 7 back speaking to people around here the NFC returns were much the same with only the odd bird back since early Sunday morning.
pigeonpete Posted September 10, 2009 Author Report Posted September 10, 2009 sent 3 old hens, had 2 on the night 17.02 and 17.59, finished 14th section L, never seen the yearling? but the 2 other guys in our club that sent did not have any old or young on the day, makes a change for me ;D
Lightning McQueen Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 We sent 2 old hens and 5 youngsters got both old hens and 1 x yb on Sat got 1 x yb Sun morning not seen/heard anything of others?
pjc Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 I think youngbirds often suffer 1st time over the water. They see the channel and follow the coast up and down not wanting to cross!
Lightning McQueen Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 I think youngbirds often suffer 1st time over the water. They see the channel and follow the coast up and down not wanting to cross! have to agree there Phil, but the 3 we have missing, one had previous had a Guernsey (1st club/1st fed) and a BICC Falaise (approx 25th CS Section), another had been to Guernsey with the Classic the week before and the last one had been to BICC Falaise. The first timer was home on Sunday morning? so who knows where they are
