Guest gladdo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 yeah bandit id totally agree they will fill the 50 spaces for the channel now, good point..... yeah but there is a good few fanciers i know that sent 30 odd to the channel races and they were still struggling in that race...returns were terrible that race and there was many birds lost...maybe they sent there so called dirt up land however i sent to win it and id say you do the same,... i would nt send a bird that i dont think cant win it as id rather not send at all ..... mikey... people sending there so called dirt is a disgrac but its up to them but i think its a complete waste of time and money...... mikey
Guest gladdo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 i tell yuo something what was shocking last year in our club that was terrible.... there was a few members sending sick pigeons to the race and they knew they were sick and this was a disgrace...i just made sure the birds werent in with mine... if they were i would have gone mad and i would have asked for my birds to be taken out and not race at all .... its absolutely shocking and i couldnt believe what i was seeing ... mikey ( dublin , ireland )
BANDIT Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 ROLL ON THE AGM,PLENTY OF CHANGES I HOPE OR WILL THEY BACK DOWN TO THE BIG GUYS?THE BEST FANCIERS WILL ALWAYS BE THERE OR THEREABOUTS PUTTING A LIMIT WILL JUST MAKE IT FAIRER AND STOP A LOT OF MOANING.
dwh Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 MIKEY THEY WILL SELL WHATS LEFT AT THE END OF THE YEAR,AND MAYBE NOW THEY WILL SEND TO THE CHANNEL,THESE BIG GUYS THAT SEND HUGH TEAMS ON THE LAND ARE ONLY SENDING A COUPLE TO THE WATER RACES,BIG CLUBS THAT SEND 500 TO 700 BIRDS WEEKLY CANT MANAGE OVER 100 BIRDS TO THE CHANNEL WHY?.AFRAID OF LOSING BIGTIME AND HAVING NO AMMO FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF LAND RACES.JMO we don't operate abird lmit in our club but a club local to us does it does'nt affect the result as the better pigeons/fanciers still come off best which you'd expect there limit is 20 but they can send as many as they want this to me is wrong if theres a limit theres a limit. this rule means apigeon (trainer) can top the fed but not win its club STRANGE rule to me
Guest gladdo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 i think if there is a bird limit on the races say 50 over here in ireland then there shouldnt be any fancier allowed to send over 50 ,,,, that aint fair as you will have people saying they had bird 15 mins before you and trying to take your win away from you however its good they have more so when they lose a bird theyy can replace the bird so on.... they can also rest a bird during the season ...stop there cocks for following year aswell and they can do as they like but not send more than the bird limit...whenis the agm bandit and do you tihnk it will come in ??? this will make the likes of g o mara whip everyone aswell for sure to be honest but why not as he a proper pigeon fancier and a magnificent flier .... mikey.... bring in the bird limit quickly .... mikey
BANDIT Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 THE AGM IS ON NEXT SUNDAY MORNING ARROUND 930 I THINK IN THE GAA CLUB RINGSEND.
Guest gladdo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 superb i hope the 50 bird limit does come in ... what you think????????/ mikey
Guest Dublin lofts Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 There should be NO bird limit in clubs or feds if you have 10birds or 50 or 100 you should be able you race them thats if you can pay for them,Lets not forget thats it ONLY takes 1pigeon to WIN the race. When you bring in limits you bring in spilts within clubs and feds .
owen101 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 there should be no limits you want high numbers on he tickets and that means you pay less and you have more achievements when you beat larger birdage JMO
Guest spin cycle Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 there should be no limits you want high numbers on he tickets and that means you pay less and you have more achievements when you beat larger birdage JMO paying less is a myth and if it only takes 1 bird to win why do people send 50 ? which is the better race 3 lofts send 90 or 7 lofts send 70 ...for me it would be the latter.
owen101 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 they send how ever many that they want as long as they can pay for it i myself get great pleasure from racing against a loft with alot sent and doing better than them

BANDIT Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 FOR THE VAST AMOUNT OF FANCIERS 50 BIRDS IS DOUBLE WHAT THEY WOULD SEND (OLDBIRDS) TO RACES.SOME GUYS SEND OVER 100 BIRDS A WEEK 4 TIMES THE AVERAGE FANCIER.LET IT GO TO THE AGM AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.I HAVE A FEELING IT WONT COME IN JMO
Guest anto Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 There should be NO bird limit in clubs or feds if you have 10birds or 50 or 100 you should be able you race them thats if you can pay for them,Lets not forget thats it ONLY takes 1pigeon to WIN the race. When you bring in limits you bring in spilts within clubs and feds . YOUR RIGHT DUB THIS WILL CAUSE A LOT OF TROBLE LOTS OF CLUBS HAVE TRIED THIS OVER THE YEARS AND IT CAUSED SPLITS CLUBS BREAKING UP FEES GOING THROUGH THE ROOF THE ISRF IS LOOSEING MEMBERS EVERY YEAR AND THERE NOT DOING ANYTHING TO STOP IT HOW IN THE NAME OF GOD CAN YOU GET NEW INTREST IN THE SPORT NEW MEMBERS HAVEING TO PAY THE TRANSPORT LEVIS BEFORE THE RACE A BIRD ITS A JOKE THERES NOT ENOUGHT BEEN DONE TO HELP KIDS SET UP TO MUCH MONEY IN IT NOW IAM SICK OF IT KIDS HAVENT A CHANCE ITS PEOPLE THAT FLY BIG TEAMS THAT KEEP SMALL CLUBS AFLOAT AND ON THE FED SHEET AT TIMES
Guest spin cycle Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 how on earth can you get kids interested in a 'sport' that requires huge numbers of young pigeons to be bred ostensibly for 8 races...and then say 'if you don't loose them you'll have to bin most of them'
Guest Dublin lofts Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Every fancier to his own if you like to send 1well you send the 1, were if you like to send50 then you send them they are your birds so its down to you wat you send in the end. we only have a small setup we would be the smallest in our club flying 11 cocks &11 hens so a limit would be great for us BUT we would not be in fav of it,as i said if you have them a want to race them then do so.

Guest gladdo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 ok we mention young kids getting involved in the sport...our club does nothing to hekp younger fanciers,,,im the youngest and im 27 and i got help from 2 fliers out of club... 1 gave me 2 youngsters, other gave me 1 youngster ....everybody said they breed me some but nothing appeared ...what makes it better with esp the way this ets system out is if there is a 50 bird limit at least it gives the younger flier of seeing his name on the sheet in top 50 in our club ... if peopling sending 120 birds they are just hoping one comes good...you ask them to pool 10 birds out of 120 and 90 % there first bird will not be a pooler bird .... im not bothered but id vote 50 bird limit in and you will see people in our club not making the top 10 when they can only send 50 max ...... watch this space jus hope its voted in i really do .... but it will make no difference to me either way .... mikey....
Guest Dublin lofts Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 im not bothered but id vote 50 bird limit in and you will see people in our club not making the top 10 when they can only send 50 max ...... watch this space jus hope its voted in i really do .... but it will make no difference to me either way .... mikey.... IF you are not bothered and it makes NO difference to you WHY would you push for a yes vot, were if it gets in other fanciers that have big teams then cannot send a full team if they wish to, because of a limit you say yes to WHEN YOU say it dos not BOTHER and MAKES NO DIFFERENCE to YOU ?????

Guest gladdo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 as i said it aint bother me what way it goes and whatever the vote is everyone will have to go along with it either way....
Guest Dublin lofts Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 The QUESTION then is WHY would you vote on it??
Guest gladdo Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 everybody has a vote and is entitled and i would vote 50 bird limit in... why not????
blackdog Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 everybody has a vote and is entitled and i would vote 50 bird limit in... why not???? agree, if they cant win with 50 away then its about time they got another hobby
Guest Dublin lofts Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 even though it dosn bother or make ad differnt to you wuld like to stp other fanciers from sendin as many birds as they like... i have seen wa the bird limit can do to a club it slips them in half if it can do this 2 clubs it can do it 2 the fed.. Ok Everyone is intitle to a vote but... why VOTE YES for something tat makes no differnt to you....
