Who uses fantails and what are the benefits of using them?

i have a white grizzle hen i use as a trapper (well did last season) . the first year i flew widowhood (2005) i was short of hens and took one of my white garden birds to use as a widowhood hen , so yes apart from making the garden look a nicer place to be , they are use-full.(evil).   andy.

Never used anything and 9 times out of 10 i can get my doos to drop out of the sky and into the loft almost right away and if the defy me then they dont get many chances at it > >  and i have got rid of decent pigeons because they would not tow the line ;)
