i would keep them at the 21 miles comming well, you only need a problem at the 50 mile and you could be getting them back all week so close to your first race.

I'd go to 30/35 miles as next stage. I think at this time of year, 15/20 miles is big enough jump.

Glad they are coming well for you, My advice would be dont push them to far to soon. Its a long season. Maybe increase there training another 5 to 10 miles. Good luck and all the best

sound advice, but we were all keen to get racing when we first started, maybe you could try six at 50.mile and keep rest at 21 miles .at least you will have 10, well trained for next year,or you might have a comeback later on they could go to.if the six make the 50,mile toss then your at the first race.    best of luck

keep them at the same place mate that will give them confidence

this is great advice especially so close to first race and being latebreeds too all about confidence with them, i feel the best thing with latebreed is use this first season as a learming curve,  try to treat them as babies cus this is what they really are big babies,

they will be great for next year if you dont ask to much of them this year,

with late breds i would give them as much training as possible and even train them with my youngbirds and then i would race them as two year olds as you lose less of them then as they are more steady if not im afraid next week you will be the same as bakes and if you really want to race them save them till may
