Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 how often do you use it? about 3 times a week or after any treatments i give
Guest IB Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 I did try it a good few years ago, I found it very expensive as it is supposed to be used 5 days a week during racing. 10ml Aviform per litre water, one 2ltr drinker and a water change twice a day, used up 40ml a day. Think I tried it for a few months and as I did not see any difference in my birds, and I don't like anything in the drinker for 5/7, I didn't see any point continuing with it.

If so why buy it when it tells you how often to put it in the water if you dont like puting things in water for 5/7 days? Just curious

If so why buy it when it tells you how often to put it in the water if you dont like puting things in water for 5/7 days? Just curious Point taken Greig; Boddy & Ridewood advert didn't make clear how much Aviform was needed in the water, or for how long. Didn't find this out until after delivery of what was my annual order. Then it also seemed pointless selling it in 500ml bottles, even with one drinker it wouldn't go far, with YBs and a second drinker lucky if it would last 10 days. Also found I was reluctant to change the water twice daily, which was defeating whole point of buying it in the first place.

Guest Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 Have used it in the past for young birds and seemed alright, only stopped using because i prefer to give them organic cider vinegar 5 days a week. And believe the cider vinegar is more important.
