thunderboult Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 i managed to pick a nice wee hen up last winter out of a son of tuff nut x full sister to maxi(sire of dark charm) but you don't see them often, probaly even less after his results this year.
van Roberts Posted July 29, 2009 Author Report Posted July 29, 2009 yes you about right there bet they are going like gold dust
leighton1984 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 £800 to £1000 each out of the nest. But i think he is the best distance flyer around.
swilcox Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I have always dreamed of crossing the Moleveld Aardens with the Brian Denney pigeons, the next few seasons will tell!!! Lieghten, those prices are from a select few. Stuart
leighton1984 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 you want his very best birds then the price is high.
leighton1984 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Aardens with the Brian Denney pigeons. i can see your plan. i was looking my self at crossing batenburg x Brian Denney pigeons
kelly tom Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I crossed a son of The Bordeaux cock with a direct Roland De Keyser hen gave a pair to my friend Paul Gill one of them was 1st open West Durham Amal Bourges 544 miles last month. I paid £50 for the cock direct from Brian in the year 2000.They have certainly went up in price since then.
Novice Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I had the Denny pigeons a few years ago---the year after he had an exceptional race from Pau. The produced several reasonable pigeons mainly crossed. These were the old pigeons---Bordeaux Cock, Classic Lad, Blue Pau lines. I believe the dark pigeons Brian races now have some of these lines but a fair proportion of Van Hee through Fallowhill Superstar. Brian's policy is to introduce youngsters and subject them to the type of racing he prefers. If they survive he breeds from them. If we all did that rather than putting them straight to stock we may have less rubbish. You will not meet a more genuine couple than Brian and Thelma Denny.
van Roberts Posted July 30, 2009 Author Report Posted July 30, 2009 spoke to him the other day he seems a real gentlemen a real top man
