retired Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 I presume it is possible to have bird droppings analysed and as such they can be confirmed to be a pigeon's?? Am i correct in this assumption?
pjc Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 i would have thought so but would it tell you if its feral, racer, dove, i don't know, depend on purpose of test!

Basically as some know im having a pig of a time with the neighbours - They have a paddling pool under a planted area (high trees) this weekend has been a mare due to my retaliation but now my application for the loft has been declined on the basis of my pigeon shiitting on there paddling pool. As said the area is under heavy greenery but these people dont see sensible reason so i am willing to have pay for this to be tested to prove it wasnt the pigeons. What a reason to decline though.

Guest Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Throw some cat $hit on it Chris, maybe the council will make the neighbours get rid of the cats. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone ;D ;D ;D
Guest Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Or give them some red dye in there food ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.
gooner Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 dont trow cat crap throw human crap and get rid of the neighbours
retired Posted July 7, 2009 Author Report Posted July 7, 2009 :-/ give them some medication and then test there sh-t simple, but do test for the medication you have given them Im actually looking to test the s--- that is on the neighbours paddling pool as to my mind this is what should be tested. Really annoyed about it all - The cat s--- on my garden though never bothered the bloke!!!
retired Posted July 7, 2009 Author Report Posted July 7, 2009 Is that at your new place Chris or you still in the same place ?? Its the new one mate, however looking to go view and new place later this week
gooner Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 you should be able to get it tested and they can tell you what has been eaten
pjc Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 a friend of mine had same prob, neighbour complained of bird crap on her washing so he said tell me which one did it and i'll dispose of it but they are £100 each. If its the rong one and it happens again it will cost you £100, they never complained again! Do you birds sit in the trees? Ask them to supply proof it was one of yours and not a wood pigeon or crow etc by means of a photograph, no proof no excuse to refuse!
flyin.couriers09 Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Its the new one mate, however looking to go view and new place later this week Your neigbours just being funny cause your new i dont see the problem why people moan aslong as you keep the lofts clean and tidy Debbie wants us to start up doing it but next door to us have 3 cats they a pain in the *expletive removed* i dont like cats as it is there more cat paws on our vehicle's than there is anywhere but they wont go in the garden as the dogs are in there most of the day ;D ;D ;D
Guest Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Chris on a serious note, as Whitenight said give them some red Vegetable die in their food and pre warm the council what you have done, then get the neighbour to check it and the council inspector. I would have thought that droppings can be tested to see what food was being eaten
Guest Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 hello Vallance i had a similar thing with my neighbours earlier this year .was informed pigeons had (messed) on her washing . i gave the council inspector a sample straight off the slope back perches in my yb section (at the time ybs had only just been weaned and were on peas only)so droppings were dry ,not troddden in and like glass marbles . i told inspector if the muck on her washing was the same i would purchase all her washing powder for a year as compo . the complaint fell flat . no comparison with sample (i knew full well it wouldnt be same ,thats why with confidence i made that statement. i hope the above is of help. andy.

Birds dont sit in the trees at all - I offered to let them out in front of the bloke but he wouldnt have it. I will keep arguing but did think proof that the sh** was from such as a blackbird etc would help my fight.
Roland Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Pigeon won't crap whilst flying. Mind I don't know why don't think other wild birds never do! :-/ Suprised you asked for permission. Don't ask and it can't be refused. Mind most in Brussels are pigeon fanciers lol. If within certain confines, and height, the law of the Land says you can have one. Now No by laws, or local laws can override the law of the land.... Our Goverments laws. Further NO council rep can come and ask to see your lofts etc. if you don't want him in. May be they can write and you arrange a time when you have the Press and your reprosenative there. BUT they can't just walk in willy nilly. Yes one could tell if they are pigeons droppings. Johnny11 on here would be able to give you all the ins and outs regards that I should imagine.
Roland Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Tell that you only have the pigeons to help you change you old ways and hobby's. That your favourite nights use yo be Hedgehog Roasts Competitions and you supplied the Clay and rubber tyres to burn. That the Travellers and pikeys came from miles around to test their skills and eating. That it was a great night as the singing and dancing went on often till early next morning. Great days and nights.... ahh I do miss them nights... trouble was it soon beame 2 - 3 nights and the 45 till it was every night. Gosh them pikey's certainly know how to celebrate, and could park them Caravans etc. on a sixpence. They were good do's, police never ever came near of course... Then them Bank holidays... Gosh them bare knuckle tournements... great fights. Used to tell the police up front what was going to happen.... they were happy as long as they knew up front. Must have been, never ever saw a jam sandwich lol.
Guest blythy1 Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 i think all us pigeon fanciers should go round and take a dump on there grass. ;D ;D
Guest Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 i think all us pigeon fanciers should go round and take a dump on there grass. ;D ;D well you are all welcome at my neighbours ,had more complaints after the bird poop one. andy.
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 chris feed them hormoform there s..t will be red u can rule it out straight away, u have the right to appeal there should be a fund or some kind of support within pigeon racing to fight for this type of thing it seems everything is against us all having pigeons at all.........
Roland Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 The reality is they can't do much, if anything at all. ... outside of making you feel uncomfortable and on edge waiting for the next c$ap notion. Had to get rid of the goats as I've often posted because folks 300 yards away complained :-/ I turned the goat / stable into a pigeon loft. Nipped around to the 'Do gooders' and friendly like wink wink nudge nudge if they would let me know on the Q.Y. if they heard anyone complain about my pigeons. I said I KNEW they wouldn't but if the did hear oat to let me know... as I'll wreck their car, windows and wreak havoc withem.... and made sure they all saw me go to their nieghbours house. Never a sqeak lol.
retired Posted July 7, 2009 Author Report Posted July 7, 2009 Thanks guys i am going to digest all the advice given and see what i come up with to deal with them. Thanks for the sh**ting on there garden advice Blythy and whilst it sounds ideal to me i do prefer Paul Stokes idea just slightly more.

Thanks Roland I like the advice but im not dealing with neighbours with principles or anything else for that matter other than a camera and a phone and a eagerness to use both for the most stupid things. The biggest shock they are in for is the fact they are complaining non stop about my little dog also - Big shock as if i rehome her im going to collect Blythys or similar!!!!
Roland Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 I think I'd have a talk to them most Mornings.... about 3 Am.
