hi i want to make my own from dried herbs.

theres a lot of varying horse  products out there containing varius different herbs,

the plan is once simmered bottled then add to at approx rate of 20ml to 2 lires  water but how long will say a one litre stew last for (shelf life) or will it need preservitives???

ingredients of one for example are ,marigold, kola, sage, hip, fenugreek, yarrow, etc,.

and it should work out a hell of a lot cheaper 1KG could make up to 50 litres at the rate of 20gram per litre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NOW THINK COS NATURALINE IS ABOUT £4 A LITRE!!!!!! yet 1KG of herbs mixed is from £10 upwards .thoughts please especialy from jimmy white n vic(shy)

It needs to be made up fresh or use preservatives - I think Naturaline is good value for money

I think you'll find that a lot of the herbs you would require are quite expensive - unless you go and pick and dry your own

naturaline i like and use a lot .................BUT if it where for human consumption it would have to list the ingredients ,there are no indications or ingredients list on the bottles except for claiming to have a beneficial effect, possibly phycological, but it is very expensive like gold........................whatever happened to scientificly proven!!!!!!

i think if your keen to use these herbs as a tea,, maybe best just make a little at a time , but would keep fresher in fridge,[in a  container:)], but your right,, it does work out cheaper :) as r ch says  :) pick and dry your own,,,even cheeper still  :)
