nutverlal Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 can anyone help with the following illness simtums: the pigeon curled up? losing alot of weight? not drinking or eating? the tail is covered with dirt of pigeon droppings? I though it may be young birds illness. so far they have been injected for parmixture. a worming tablet given, cocoxdosis tablet given canker tablet given. A dose of cod liver oil. the drinking water contains the aviform 7 in 1. these are not my birds, i was given five pigeon tipplers to treat, so far only one is still with me but not sure it will make it through the night. Any ideas suggestions please. The last resort will be to let the birds die naturally.
Guest Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 I am sorry, but if there were originally 5 birds and now only one left, it sounds to me as if the problem has already gone too far. If you do have birds of your own, remember that this sick bird could be a danger to them too, so be careful you yourself do not spread the problem to them. Be careful of your hygeine. You have done what you could to cure it. Perhaps it would now be better and kinder to put this very sick bird out of its misery, rather than let it die miserably of some unknown disease?
Guest ben Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 blimey, you should be reported for banging all that crap into them that fast, poor buggers, disgracful,if the animal rights boys seennyour post they will rip you apart, and so they should, unbleivable,

Never mind Ben, Nutverlal. I agree with Ribble, and I know you know too, that you did what you thought was best for the bird. Nobody can criticise you for doing that, not even 'Animal Rights'
kev01293 Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 im sure nutverlal was only doing what he thought best under the circumstances-it shows he cares.
