kraftykev Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 www.spencroftlofts.co.uk Breeding racing pigeons to perfection for the perfectionist As many of you know ive entered a team of young birds in the RPRA one loft race this year, and one of these is a yellow kirkpatrick / Jan Aarden. I must admit I got a lot of stick about this, some people said Kirkpatricks where no good as they were to slow and what was i thinking putting one in that had Jan Aarden blood in it as i needed sprint blood, not distance blood. Then came the colour, a yellow cheq people said i must had been mad. Well i sell a lot of yellow pigeons so i thought i should put my money where my mouth was and enter one. This is the story of YOUNG YELLOW hope you dont mind the name old yellow lol GB09N99972 Racing under the name spencroftlofts.co.uk place on sheet number of birds on sheet miles flown Training toss 1 613 661 3 I think 2 241 630 8 3 341 577 10 4 not on sheet 5 389 568 10 6 509 509 ( last on sheet lol ) 15 7 445 531 15 8 not on sheet 9 421 580 15 10 not on sheet 11 565 576 22 12 not on sheet 13 52 (WOW) 555 30 14 563 574 30 15 546 570 30 16 537 556 42 17 506 550 42 So as you can see he is still there and it looks like he is saving his energy for the races to come lol Hope your all doing well in your racing this year yours in sport Kevin Spencroft lofts Cambridgeshire
peterpau Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Perhaps some one should tell the bird he's yellow. I've a grizzle flown Palamos and Perth, and I had a barless hen 2nd sec 20th MNFC. Colour conts for nothing.
Craig05 Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Hi Kev the little yellow i bought from you is going to its first race tomorrow. alway there or there abouts on every training toss mate. will let you know how she gets on
pjc Posted July 24, 2009 Report Posted July 24, 2009 Glad its still there for you! The positions don't mean a great deal at the moment, when you look at the training tosses the birds are arriving together and its pot luck which trap 1st.

Good luck to yours in the race.
