aarden Posted October 4, 2007 Author Report Posted October 4, 2007 THANX SOUTHBANKS BUT WHERE DO YOU GET AMOXYLIN
timbarra Posted October 4, 2007 Report Posted October 4, 2007 dear Aarden, isolate pigeon or dispose of it, as for the rest give them nothing , save your money and sit tight , they maybe ok, if they start being sick then its youngbird sickness. if sickness then give them plain water and hopper feed light depurative mix or diet mix and keep them in loft for 14 days, they will all then be over it mate. spend nothing , buy nothing but listen to someone who knows... the simplest methods sound silly but most times are the correct methods. regards spencer 07989746150

But bottom line that we need could strong and reliable constitution birds to build a loft upon, and indeed race. If the odd one get poorly and the rest don't it is mainly that ALL have contacted the same ailment, but the constitution is better than the ones showing up! No always, but a blumming good %tage. Twice when others don't....!
bewted Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 It could be canker or worse, hope you have isolated the bird from the rest? But not to sound to harse, but :(in my experince the best thing to do is have the bird put down as I have never nor have I heard of any one who had any YB's as sick as you are describing go on to make or do anything in the future not getting at any one in particular, but,is this the best way to put it down in writing on here,,remember the public eye watches and this would not be seen in a good light in the publics eye!!!! i am not going to argue on this subject, only trying to advise for the pigeon fanciers good will for the future sport !!!! best regards ted
aarden Posted October 7, 2007 Author Report Posted October 7, 2007 i no what you mean ted,i suppose i should of asked for PM'S if they were going to indicate anything that the public might see. i was greatfull of all your replys thanku
jimmy white Posted October 30, 2007 Report Posted October 30, 2007 ONE OF MY LATEBREDS HAS GONE LISTLESS AND NOT EATING HE WILL FLY FOR A BIT BUT IS NOT INTERESTED IN EATING,WHEN I OPENED ITS BEAK IT HAD A LITTLE WHITE SPOT IN THE CORNER AND VERY WARERY DROPPINGS,WHAT IS IT AND HOW DO I TREAT IT latebreds at their weakest point at this time of the year nd will have started moulting ,, this can bring on a certain amount of stress to the bird putting it at its lowest ebb , this could be anything from cocci to yb sickness , so if you feel the bird is valuable to you ,, better with a good avian vet ,,treating blindly can make the bird worse
