Hi everyone.

One of my cock birds has watery dropping and also what looks a bit like mucus some of the dropping is formed. just over a year ago this same bird and 2 others got what I thought was Cocci and I treated them but lost 1 of them as I was too late I didn't realize as my birds had never suffered from any illness up till now.

He has never been the same since this illness he is always a been loose. He is eating well and very well in himself. Is there anything any of you can suggest that might bulk him up a bit. I have been keeping my birds in most of the day for around 2-3 months due to a sparrowhawk and they all tend it hang on till I let them out so I'm wondering if this is having any effect on this cock bird. (he is the bird in my picture)

Hi, I wonder if you are are vaccinated against Paramixo virus. I had this last year amongst my youngsters and one of the survivors is still slightly loose. It does not effect the bird in any other way as he has returned from training tosses.

Failing this a probiotic may help your bird. Good luck.

Best way to find out for definite if there is a problem is to send off a dropping sample for analysis.
