bewted Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 your best bet would be to find the real cause of the problem rather than keep medicating them each year !!! cure the cause and your mostly got it right then !!!
big don Posted June 9, 2008 Author Report Posted June 9, 2008 thanx for that advise . iv got the ventalation right and its usually only a few birds the majority of them never get affected i just want it on hand and trea sepate thanx again
Guest IB Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 thanx for that advise . iv got the ventalation right and its usually only a few birds the majority of them never get affected i just want it on hand and trea sepate thanx again If its only a few birds then its probably not what you think it is. Try watching the affected birds and see if there is any false feeding going on amongst them, or courtship mock feeding between them. That causes dirty wattles too, and is harmless.

ALF Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 Hi Don we (Lanarkshire fed ) were at Wincanton at the weekend but held till monday morning
ALF Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 Forgot to say we had a crap race return wise : : :
big don Posted June 26, 2008 Author Report Posted June 26, 2008 thanx for that alf m8 i think our birds were the only ones let out on the day . i sent 20 and lost 3 birds i was the lucky one . some top flyers didnt even time in . i just cant understand why they were liberated in such bad weather
jimmy white Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 your best bet would be to find the real cause of the problem rather than keep medicating them each year !!! cure the cause and your mostly got it right then !!! this,in my opinion is very correct ,,,,,,,,,,but if you got 17 out of 20 on a bad racing day when others never timed ,doesnt sound like respiratory [i know you said yb,s,, are they in a different loft than the ob,s?]
