As I said earlier you can still have 100% guarantee of parentage by letting pairs out one at a time for an hour or so each day until they have laid. Once they have laid doing it this way the birds will know where there boxes are, have freedom and space to tread and then you can open all the boxes up to give the birds there freedom.

i had the same problem with closed breeding young ones dead empty eggs turned out the cocks were getting board and driving hens to hard
