REDCHEQHEN Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Despite the stock birds still being paired they are moulting well - and some are on the end flights - having an unremarkable moult. The old racers - its a different matter - nearly all dropping 2 at a time - and one even dropping 4 altogether I've never noticed so many flights moulting all at once - is this normal? Would you add anything extra to the feed to help with the feather growth to ensure the new growth is of good quality
Guest j.bamling Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 if they dropping flights like that susan i would leave well alone they must be ok !!! the only thing i like to use is a bit vinegar and sedochol twice a week
pigeonscout Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 You could also give them some butter milk 4 parts water 1 part butter milk.
Hogni Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Sedochol and brewers yeast do wonders for the birds while moulting
Guest JPH Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 if there not in top condition they wont drop them like that so nowt to worry about. would be more concerned if they were not moulting ;)
