owen101 Posted October 17, 2009 Author Report Posted October 17, 2009 this is a better pic of the light cheq yb
owen101 Posted October 17, 2009 Author Report Posted October 17, 2009 they aint both hens the cock bird has already tried it on and it has been racing as a cock bird and fightin in basket and calling trying to drive
jimmy white Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 hi owen,,i think you could get what your wanting here,, a griz and a cheq,, even two grizzles sometimes with the same year birds it can be difficult to pick out cocks and hens,, even more difficult in a pic. but you will know your own birds,,,, so best of luck,, ,, maybe better keeping the excitement going, then waiting to see what they breed best of luck anyway
owen101 Posted October 17, 2009 Author Report Posted October 17, 2009 they are late breds and i was findin it hard to find what they are
mcclaff Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 I read somewhere that grizzle is not really a colour as such, more a pattern and and could throw out any number of coloured pigeons. Dunno how accurate this though.
owen101 Posted October 17, 2009 Author Report Posted October 17, 2009 i would not know anything to do with patterns and what they can throw i need more experience before i start getting into the mixed of conversations
jimmy white Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 like all things about pigeons, its all opinions, and all differ, sometimes this makes pigeon keeping all the more interesting,, at least you have made an interesting topic about pigeons ,, it would be nice at a later time to let us know what they do breed, the main thing is their nice birds,, and should produce nice birds
owen101 Posted October 17, 2009 Author Report Posted October 17, 2009 im not sure about a interesting topic and yes will keep you posted i hope they breed something worth while and then there will be 1 box ticked off but it takes a while to get established so i am all for it it is dedication thats the goal at the moment
blackdog Posted October 17, 2009 Report Posted October 17, 2009 owen, pleased to see your dedicated mate, thats one step in the right direction, all the best for 2010 but as long as your enjoying your birds thats all that counts anyway and results will come,if i can give you one piece of advice mate, keep it simple.
owen101 Posted October 17, 2009 Author Report Posted October 17, 2009 yes im dedicated i have 5 birds to use as trainers for old birds and then the young that we breed and i may buy a few ybs and at the moment i am more interested in getting the birds home than results
Guest youngzimmy Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 HOPE THEY BREED YOU A WINNER WHO CARES WHAT COLOUR THEY ARE
