blackdog Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 all birds are different mate but they should be through the body moult by end of october with the primarys its more than likely end of november into december but could take longer if young have been on darkness.

just ask me Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 have a cock that never stops moulting all year round ive never seen it before always looks a picture never goes through a body moult like every other bird he raced very well and cant wait to see if he will pass this on though his youngsters it hasn't hindered him in any way hes in stock loft now every other bird is coming to the back end of the moult and he looks a picture has anyone else seen this i don't think its too common

She always looked really scruffy. She dropped her flight feathers once a year in the usual way but was constantly body moulting right throughout the year, and I don't mean down feathers. She always had pin feathers showing above her beak and on her head. It was never passed on to her youngsters.
