pjc Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 Get your birds tested if you suspect a problem and if the [face=Times]avian vet [/face]them prescribes baytril along with aftercare then and only then would i advice it used.
Guest strapper Posted February 8, 2010 Report Posted February 8, 2010 been told about something called baytril (or something like that...) is it only available from a vet ? you,d be better off trying another product 1st..like amoxicillin..or similar...if you require baytril then a trip to the vet is advised to see why you need it. misuse of baytril will leave the pigeon world without a last line of defence, and maybe cause wider infections . i use medications but wouldnt use baytril, untill ive tried other means 1st. doctors for humans use weaker meds 1st then the strongest if no other has cleared the problem up. if using baytril make sure you strongly keep to the required dose and dont think ill give a little extra to make sure will do.
