would it be possable to feed just one mix say an good breeding mix then useing say barley early part of week for oldens and adding mazie at the end of the week and the same with ybs or just use energy plus at end of week to try and keep it simple

Nothing wrong with that at all, just dont make your base mix a to heavy a one if your thinking of racing sprint/middle distance.

What ever we feed our birds we must not forget to give them plenty of grit and minerals. I find Kilpatricks great as it has a bag of black minerals inside. Plenty of FRESH green food and good seaweed. The latter and an elderberry concentrate help with respiritory infections.

i feed a base mix all yr round and has a very high protein content, they moult out lovely aswell

 

like i said before if the only food available was beans and wheat or barley they would still moult through ok to many fancy  mixes out there now. when they invent a go faster pigeon food i might be up for a couple of bags. lol ;D
