Pigeon Tracker,

                        With respect, you are not the only service for us pigeon fanciers that only transport pigeons.  Pigeon Express is also a pigeon carrier service who was transporting pigeons before Amtrax went bust.  Now it may not be that he can travel the length and breadth of Britain but I do know he delivered in Dumfries on Sunday and with a general desire for our pigeons to be returned to us, he will do his utmost to make sure they are.

He also is ( like yourself ) so inundated with telephone calls, he is bursting at the seams and looking at getting three more vans and I personnally am pleased for him because as a one man band I'm sure it's a struggle.  

I've no axe to grind, I just wish all of you success in helping to keep our sport alive in whatever way you can.

Excellent news all around, perhaps I should have said that we're probably the only dedicated pigeon courier that delivers throughout the UK?  I might even be wrong on that one but I don't think I am?   I'll try and be more clear in the future although I'm fairly sure most people are aware of their local couriers just not necessarily the ones that cover the UK.    

 

Like you I wish anyone success if they set up but only if they are dedicated to pigeons alone, sorry but these hauliers who've come into the frey to take advantage of Amtrak's demize have no place as far as I'm concerned but that's my own opinion and I'm sticking to it.

at the end of the day the old saying "market forces" applies,the "good"ones survive, word of mouth on sites like this,and local clubs,will sort out the wheat from the chaff.as long as my birds can get from a to b for a good price ,and looked after en route [which with am del, they were to be honest]thats all i worry about,
