will do, i phoned them the other day to ask and they said they still do pigeons, will have to go down there

There's not been an official press release that Amtrak have been taken over so any suggestion otherwise would be just a rumour.

As the depots were franchised then they may just be opporating indipendently.

if they are going to carry your birds let them get on with it

its up to other courier company's to call defra to say they have no licence

Your spot on that they can't trade under Amtrak or even as a franchise of them, what some are claiming are the fact they are simply offering an alternative,  my advice is be careful with these types as they are mostly hauliers with little or no clue about carrying wildlife or fowl.
