Mighty Flyer Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 What you talking about , all we are trying to do on this forum is get the very best for our pigeons and I appreciate that you cant please everybody but dont say you are going to do something and then not do it. If you notice with my previous post, I asked Pigeon Tracker to collect my yb at their convenience.I didnt put any pressure on them, so they told me the time the bird would be collected, and they have still failed me, badly. Lets not kid ourselves here, this is just not acceptable. Why dont Pigeon Tracker tie up with SPDS and meet , say at Gretna and swap deliveries. This would take the pressure off them, not needing to work in Scotland, but still getting the custom.Basic business sense for me Im sure that would be the way forward in the future. Scotland is a fair old way....So no wonder it's taken so long. I appreciate you had them collect the Pigeons at their convenience, very kind of you With traffic these days it's impossible to give an exact time for delivery so I can see your frustration. I just believe, they are trying their best to accomadate everyone.... Personally, id rather my Pigeons be late and in safe hands than left to de in a box for a week!! This is a learning curb for everyone and let's hope we don't see any other upsets in the future And Pigeon 82.....I dont think you can change the name of a feed, u gotta start a new one
Guest pigeon82 Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 i hope you get em soon mate but ill drive meself from now on till there is a reccomended courier that has no problems might be hard to find but sure well get one soon
Mighty Flyer Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 the rpra need to get involved ive said before they should start a service with nation wide holding centres run by fanciers drivers must be fanciers full time there are fanciers out there who would love a job like that meeting other fanciers every day you have approx 32.000 rpra members @ £10 a head that sould get it started still pay £25 del or collect and see how it goes if it goes tits up at least you gave it ago instead of whineing about others has no body at the rpra got the brains to look at it oh happy days This could be a good idea BUT......Pigeon fanciers throughout the summer, as we all know and do, find it difficult to get torn away from the loft (I know I do, and so does my dad)...to drive say 300miles to deliver a Pigeon. Perhaps it would b an idea to employ a courier company through the RPRA and then they solely deal with Pigeon recovery. For example, give PigeonTracker a contract whereas all the custom would come direct from the Unions and then they could circiut routes around the UK to eleviate stress on al parties. ?? Just a thought
Fair Play Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Jamie told me they were opening up a holding depot in Edinburgh might be an idea to open one in Glasgow get your bird to the depots if practical ready to be picked on their run back South
Mighty Flyer Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Sounds like a plan.....! Would make sense too...

ChrisMaidment08 Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 well im sure a holding loft up scotland would be adviseable its fine if you have depots everywere but you would need to be multi millioire to sort that one out but even that would take time
Mighty Flyer Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Wasnt that what you were tryin to sort the other day??? Are you a millionaire then? I dont think it would take that long, or cost that much! Im sure we could all muck in.....
ChrisMaidment08 Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 i personaly would not do it nor our family having lorrys running everywere is not the same as having load vans drivers all round country at moment we are sorting stray lofts around country and if you look at signitures on our posts you will see who so far are assiting in this
Delboy Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 any joy Delboy, Naw, definately the worst courier service I have encountered. Its now 11.54 am >
Mighty Flyer Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Lets not go that far......Im sure the it's better to have the Pigeon late and healthy, than early and dead
Delboy Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Lets not go that far......Im sure the it's better to have the Pigeon late and healthy, than early and dead What you on about ? I still have the pigeon cos it aint even been picked up yet >
Mighty Flyer Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Im sorry, my mistake. Im sure there's a valid reason.......
flighty hen Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 We have to give these couriers a chance to get things right, Rome wasn't built in a day so the saying goes. I will say that I agree with Mighty Flyer, Pigeon Tracker has been really good in picking up our pigeons, BUT, one that we were having picked up, fair play Jamie rang the person concerned and agreed a pick up time, was that person there NO, they had popped out to the shops and didn't return for 1 hour, Jamie waited, that then delayed the other pick ups, now fair play to him doing that, not many couriers give that service! I will always use them anyway.
Mighty Flyer Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Ah well, can't we all stop moaning and give them a bloody chance...
flighty hen Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 Ah well, can't we all stop moaning and give them a bloody chance... I'll second that!
Guest strapper Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 mighty ,although i respect ur opinion , you,ve made sure uve stuffed pigeon trackers name down peoples throats . no company is perfect and will eventually drop a clanger. law of averages will see to that. uve already called someone a liar(porkies) ok they made a mistake ,but how can u say someones telling porkies when you wasnt there?.have you a crystal ball?..or ru in contact with pigeon tracker?. before we start calling people liars lets get the facts 1st , then make a statement. myself ive had good contact with pigeon tracker when asking about their service,it sounds a good company in my opinion....but only time will tell.

I agree Strapper. What's bad about preaching about a company you think is good? Everone has their own opinion, and im entitled to mine. Right? And as far as the 'porkies' go, it was NOT out of malice, merely a joke...... and didnt i say the "best will succeed, the worst will dminish" Only time will tell!

Mighty Flyer Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 listen all as im told by one of stray lofts today youer not intrested in helping youerselfs only in moaning sad but true Chris, if I could create a system that worked believe me I would! Im only saying what I believe, if you disagree that's up to you. I can't make PigeonTracker succeed, I can't make any other Courier company succeed. I can only post my opinion
