Gail J Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 We had pigeon delivered last night by UK Couriers (organised by seller). Julie, Dave's wife is a lovely person, we had quite a chat with her over coffee after she drove so far, they are based in Cheshire and are on courier board. Pigeon well looked after and would recommend them to members, kept in contact about delivery as the bird was delivered in evening after we arrived home from work. Keep up the good work Julie & Dave
Guest cloudview Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 i know dave and julie , they live literally round the corner , and are 100 per cent genuine people , and will try to help as much as possible you,ll have no worries putting your in their hands , they will be looked after as if their own bye the dave,s a fully qualified joiner by trade , so , free tips as well
Roland Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 You know, and no disrespect meant here. The first, and cloudview posts are exactly what I had in mind when I asked Dovecotes to put up a 'Good couriers' comments site, and just straight forward reason why you found it as such! Plain and simple.... Yes would like a Moder to transfer it personally as I like the idea, and feel many members would too, where one just clicks on one after the other regards comments, and able to make their own mind up. No need, nor warrented, bitching and posting back and forth, the Comments made as the person using the courier is end of. Simple, realistic, and bery helpful .... far better than some of those rewpetetious slanging matches of quite previous posts no so very long aga surely! Good post Gail J
Gail J Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 Thank you Roland for that comment. I forgot to add that they are pigeon fanciers, so that will be a bonus for the members

Guest youngzimmy Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 why dont you ask royal mail or parcel force to take on the job after all they are tooled up transport and staff wise sounds like a logical idea to me
Guest Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 Thanks for your post Gail. Hope to meet everyone at Blackpool and introduce ourselves to as many fanciers as we can Julie UK Pigeon Couriers
ChrisMaidment08 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 yes heard good things about you hope you dont get put off
Guest bigda Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 its good that the couriers are facing up to the nothernbullys, and hope the can go from strength to strenght, the ones i have used say they've never been so busy, and have no time for idle talk on the pc when there is work to be done, there order book is fulling up nicely, so it don't look like the credit crunch has any effect on the ones who want to work
Guest bigda Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 i it kind of spoiled us that a wee bit, but you never know, the Phoenix might rise from the ashes once more maybe a polish outfit or some thing like that an Kevin, might be working for them ;D
ChrisMaidment08 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 8) ;D ;D ;Di can see that happening as well ;)
