Have to call and look at this new stock mate ;) i'm afraid though the new couriers trying best at times can not match amtak as there infractstruture was immense(and yes they still made mistakes) but you only appreciate such a service when lost.  Think step forward is for these new couriers to work togetherand cover own areas and combined forces...but is there enough money to be made that way :-/

you know youre welcome any time pal . a new infastructure could only work if they communicate , something that unfortunatly Wayne is lacking , BIG STYLE .             andy.

I had an 8 year old stock cock escape from my loft in mid wales and fly back to london back in 1997. I was so over the moon when the previous owner phoned to say it had just landed on his roof. Considering it was a cold November day and low cloud and light rain, I would say that was the most amazing moment of my pigeon career. I sent Amtrak to pick it up and waited and waited for this bird. I finally decided to phone the previous owner and see what was going on. They had reportedly collected the pigeon on the Wenesday morning and should have been delivered with me on the Thursday morning. After having 4 or 5 very angry phone calls on the phone with Amtrak, it was decided the bird was lost! Then on he Monday morning I had a phone call to say my bird was in Brechin in Scotland, instead of Brecon in Wales! I did finally get the bird back but to think it had flown back some 200 miles, then gets lost on a delivery service was soul destroying but all well in the end!

i sent 4 lots of pigeons to different fanciers in the U k with amtrak and they managed to deliver the wrong birds to all 4 fanciers, :-/ :-/ :o :o although they did sort it out a few days later. :-/ :-/

dont mention (damtrak)spelt right.

i had birds waiting pick up ,told them 4 birds to be picked up ,they turned up next day with one single box..driver said..they didnt tell me how many i was to pick up(prat)

this was after he had picked up that single bird(without my knowledge)..the owner phoned me to say as such, back onto amtrak they said they will pick up the other three next day....but wait for it...as a new order!!!

i told them to f...u can guess the rest.

they finally accepted after 12 phone calls to do it for free.

thats only when i phoned head office....this was only 1 of 4in 7 pick ups they fooked up for me.

Appreciate what your saying Wayne - The big Amtrack advantage was quick delivery - I still wouldnt wish them back though just as i wouldnt use half the couriers out there at the minute - If the couriers i rate cant do the job then the birds dont come or go.

i have to say the speed of service off amtrak was second to none it was the quality of it that was doubtful granted the sheer volume of birds they moved there where bound to be the odd mishap but towards the end they where very accident prone
