When the wind lies in the east,

'Tis neither good for man nor beast;

When the wind lies in the north,

The skilful fisher goes not forth;

When the wind lies in the south,

It blows the bait in fishes' mouths;

When the wind lies in the west,

Then 'tis at the very best.

Goes for training pigeons as well?

Tony C couldn't be more right.Pigeons don't like east winds and its early in the season so i think you have your answer in that riddle.Our local trainer started yesterday and i was so chuffed when i saw all my comprtition piling thier birds in.Thick mist and east wind i think they may do well at the first 2 races and then they will be done.
