It keeps away some bugs and moths from the nests and lofts, it makes great nesting material and it smells lovely in the loft a lot better smelling than tobacco stalks :)

 

Tobbaco stocks dont smell  there oderless If you want nice smelling nestpans Why dont you spray them with the wifes ( channel 5 )

Ours must be from Capstain full strenght as they do smell a bit, Channel 5 !!!!! what is wrong with Boots 5 for a pound ;D

When does it deter moths when its new or when its dried out?

Lavender has been used for hundreds of years to deter moths in the dried form by placing it in hessian bags. Chick cuts it when it has died back in the winter for nesting material :)
