micko and jack Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 this may sound stupid and I don't know if its do able when I was younger I used to go to my uncles in the country he used to rear pheasants for the gun club I used to give a hand on holidays if a cock bird got to boisterous the uncle used to put specks on them (don't laugh this is true) red blinks things that clipped onto the nose it never stopped them breeding eating or drinking but stopped them fighting

If so close him & the hen until their eggs are hatched & then open them up , that seems to calm him down . I feed them inside their breeding boxes while locked up . I do that when I am pairing & do not have any problems afterwards .
