Found Pigeon

I have a white pigeon that has taken up residence in my garden, Stockton on tees.

 

It has a yellow ring, with GB  the numbers 743. I cant get close enough to make out the other numbers.

 

It has been here for about 5 days. Any advice?

IF YOU CAN MANAGE TO CATCH IT AND GET THE FULL RING NUMBER AND POST IT UP ON HERE I,M SURE SOMEONE WILL TELL YOU FROM WHICH AREA IT,S FROM.

Does the F stand for Folkestone?

IF THE NUMBER IS GB 06 F 2743- IT IS FROM NORTHERN IRELAND,BUT YOU REALLY NEED TO GET THE CORRECT NUMBER SO WE CAN TELL YOU WHERE IT IS DEFINATLY FROM.THE LETTER F COULD MEAN IT,S FROM ANYWHERE

Clubs in Grimsby use F rings as well you need the full ring no.

WE CAN GIVE YOU ADVISE ON WHAT TO DO BUT AS IV,E SAID TRY AND CATCH THE BIRD FIRST AND GET THE FULL NUMBER THEN WE CAN TAKE IT FROM THERE.WHERE ABOUTS ARE YOU AS THERE MAY BE A FANCIER CLOSE WHO CAN HELP YOU OUT.

I dont have GB ring list but if no one on here can help you should contact the RPRA. Go to main menu and follow link for Lost Birds. You can report by e mail. I would let them know you are a non-fancier. If you are unable to care for the pigeon you should try to contact a local pigeon fancier.
