chickadee Posted March 24, 2007 Author Report Posted March 24, 2007 What is a trapper? I'm really new to the pigeon world so excuse ma ignorance. We only started keeping pigeons last year. :)
Pompey Mick Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 A trapper is a bird used to encourage the racers to land and enter the loft quickly in a race. They are usually white fantails which are very noticeable when released to fly to the loft when a racer is approaching. These birds are usually trained to trap quickly and are used every time you want the birds to go in quickly so that the racers get used to this routine.
