susan the young look normal the only reason i can see for them hatching at 14 days is if the eggs were so small would form in less time  jmo best of luck shippy

Think you hit the nail their. Maybe because the eggshell was so small the developed chick outgrew it and hatched prematurely. To be honest I think you are lucky they have survived and if it were me, I'd be giving them a chance as they are obviously fighters. I've been enquiring recently about the size of racers with the view of getting some small ones to fly out with my tumblers so if they do grow into small adults and you don't want them I would consider purchasing them from you. look fine to me susan the feathering tells everything if this is ok they will be fine just remember good ones come in all shapes and sizes  ;)

As a rule of thumb, I like my youngsters to be quiet in the nest, and sit there contentedly unless the parents are feeding them. When they leave the nest, I like them to be plump and feel heavier than they look. Susan, the youngsters on the photo look fine to me.
