swicky Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Found a week or so ago near Skipton. Seems healthy enough but will release to the wild on 2 May if not claimed by then as we're not pigeon fanciers!
Guest joshdonlan Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 If its healthy mate, let it go ASAP, it stands a chance of returning home.
swicky Posted April 27, 2009 Author Report Posted April 27, 2009 It hung around for nearly 2 weeks before we caught it by which time it'd started flying again so I think if it'd wanted to go home it would've done so already. But I hear what you say and will release sooner rather than later
REDCHEQHEN Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Its a Tees Valley bird (Stockton area) - so around 60 miles from home Fed secretary 01642 615085
Guest dibble Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 land line no longer in use new number 07912535624 think it's his bird
swicky Posted May 14, 2009 Author Report Posted May 14, 2009 This bird is still with us if the owner happens to be interested..........
REDCHEQHEN Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Report it to the racing organisation, but only if the bird is contained e-mail: nehu@nehu.co.uk
swicky Posted May 15, 2009 Author Report Posted May 15, 2009 I DID report it to the NEHU, they had no record of that number (how can that be??), but said the "TV" stood for Tees Valley, so the details were then passed on to the TV Fed Sec. However, I've still heard nothing. Strange, or do many keepers simply not care much about lost birds?
