Online Show Judging Disucssion

I would like to sample your opinions on the judging for the Online Show.

i have voted for an hand picked panel picked by webmaster

even now people will vote for there friends just coz under 100 votes cant vote does not meen people with over 100 votes are not going to vote for they mates

the only fairest way is a hand picked panel that webmaster thinks would do a fair job !!!

I agree the independant panel is an excallent idea, but I think members should still be allowed to vote just for the fun aspect not to have any weighting on the actual result

still thinking about how to vote in this poll but i would rather the show not be judged by a single independent judge.

i know thats how its done at live shows but i liked the idea of a number of fanciers coming to the same conclusion.

eg. if 5 judges judged the same class of 25 birds (live or online) there is a good chance they would pick 5 different winners. however if 25 judges study the class you can bet one bird would soon rise to the top.

The sad thing is that the cheats may have taken away the opportunity for the forum members to vote for the winners, takes a bit of the enjoyment out of the show.

i think that all members with 20 posts should all be allowed to vote, then the web master should take the top 5 voted birds and get a pannel of 10 non entry members to vote on the final 5 birds, if however the webmaster suspects cheeting on the votes then there birds should be removed before it reaches the final 5

;Dall above posts very good . all have valid points . i think votes should be taken into account , and an indipendant panel of judges (chosen by Richard) who are non entrants should select top 3 birds in a, b , c order and PM back to webmaster he can then collate info and hopefully ;D find a winner .                                                   andy
