printer wanted

hi, need printer and lead for a stb 14E-1870 clock,

as the club we are joining said we cant use it unless we get a printer, as they all use different clocks.

contacted boddy & ridewood & they said they no longer manufactor the clock, & they dont know where i would get a printer from,

if anyone knows anywhere or has one for sale,

please let me know

SNOWY JUST A THOUGHT IF THE CLOCK WAS USED LAST YEAR WHAT HAPPENED TO THE  LEAD AND PRINTER WHAT WAS USED ON IT THEN.

I agree with pigeon man the chap who sold you the clock must have had a cable and should have sold the clock complete with cable. I would get back on to him and if he cant supply the cable ask for your money back off the clock, and buy another clock. I personally have never heard of or seen one of these clocks and have been setting clocks for 5 years now. Good luck.

I,M SORRY TO SAY IT SNOWY BUT I THINK THE GUY WHO SOLD YOU THAT CLOCK WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF ORDER ESPECIALLY SELLING IT TO TWO NEW FANCIERS WHO WERE NONE THE WISER ANYWAY,I WOULD DO AS SHADOW SAYS AND GET BACK IN TOUCH WITH HIM AND EXPLAIN THAT YOU CANNOT GET HOLD OF A NEW CABLE AND PRINTER SO THE CLOCK IS NO GOOD TO YOU AND THAT YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR MONEY BACK.I,M NOT SURE WHEN THOSE CLOCKS WERE MANUFACTURED BUT I HAVE NEVER COME ACROSS ONE IN THE 30 YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN SETTING CLOCKS ALLTHOUGH AS I SAID BEFORE IT IS SHOWN IN THE CLOCKSETTERS MANUAL WHICH IS ISSUED BY THE R.P.R.A.PERHAPS A CALL TO MRS.MACK AT THE R.P.R.A.MAY DO SOME GOOD SHE MAY BE ABLE TO PUT YOU ON TO SOMEBODY WHO WOULD STOCK THE CABLE AND PRINTER.

there was one of the clocks in my club last year the clock setter bought it from body and riedwood

the guy i got it off is 100% genuine & its not his fault, he didnt realise that the cable & printer was needed

to the guy used said im out of order when i bought the clock i beleived you could use it manual thought the printer was just an exsra i would not con anyone had we be only to willing to give him is money backthe printer was damaged and its seems a bit ridicolas that body and ride wwd do not stock them anymore it cost me double for what i sold it for i would even buy him a clock at no cost to him because he is a nice guy thersno way i would sold it to him if i knew this was going to be a problemim going to see the guy i bought it off tomorrow

Why not try Richard Henderson at (B.Leefe & Sons) they advertize regularly in the fancy press and still do clock repairs.  If they haven't the lead and printer they may be able to advise where to get them from.   Good luck.   Blue Chequer

first of all, mickieb, is as honest as the day is long, he did not realise about the printer, mickieb do not worry, i will get 1 ;D

tried most of them, as i printed the page off, but no luck as to yet, been contacted back by a couple, & they said they will try their contacts, so hoping & waiting,

DOES ANYONE ON THE FORUM KNOW ANYBODY WHO AS ONE OF THESE CLOCKS,WOULD BE VERY GREATFULL IF SOMEONE COULD PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH THEM.THIS IS THE SAME CLOCK AS SNOWY AND WESTY HAD.
