Born in 1904, he became involved with pigeons during his teens and returned to the sport with serious intent in 1946. Van Wanroy specialized in long-distance races and achieved remarkable success, winning numerous national and international prizes. His pigeons, known for their endurance and performance, were highly sought after. Van Wanroy's legacy continued even after his death in 1971, with other fanciers like Anton Van Haaren and Jan Hendrix carrying on his work.
