paul10121968 Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 with our first show scheduled for this sunday,my birds are looking great.what i want to know is will a pigeon who is growing his last flight back be frowned upon by a judge,or will it be overlooked.
Guest anto Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 IT should be over looked esp if its a young bird thats been raced
carlsberg Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 what you got to remember is it is still a little early for showing so most will overlook the last flight if that is the only thing wrong with the bird
greenlands Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 I would go as far to say that most birds won't even be on their last flight yet,any tme i've judged I never bothered about the flights, especially young birds that have been on darkness. Lindsay
paul10121968 Posted October 30, 2009 Author Report Posted October 30, 2009 thanks for the replys,i have about ten of my older youngsters that are on their last flight, the rest are at various stages of the moult.

Lindsay judges will see past the moult the one thing they wont see past is a dirty bird make sure the tail feathers are clean and theres no lice on the birds lice is a big no most judges will put the bird straight back in the pen best of luck hope you do well
Guest beautyhomer Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 As they are on their last flight there is a risk that they could damage it flapping in a show pen.If they make it bleed it will ruin them for the show season.I would not risk it if they were fancy pigeons.
