FOXY Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 You should be able to purchase an STB clock for very little now as they are being used less and less, you might be lucky enough for somebody to even give you one for free.

Out of interest If your ETS fails for whatever reason, can you put the ETS ring in the thimble etc and clock it in as an emergency back-up Realize this would not help getting times logged if did not know beforehand it was faulty
THE FIFER Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Out of interest If your ETS fails for whatever reason, can you put the ETS ring in the thimble etc and clock it in as an emergency back-up Realize this would not help getting times logged if did not know beforehand it was faulty good idea not been thought of, ets rings are too big to go into a thimble, but could possibly go into a clock without one, i believe in nationals etc ets birds are rubbered for this reason, and u must clock the rubber as well.
Pompey Mick Posted October 21, 2007 Report Posted October 21, 2007 The only problem with doing that as a back up, would mean you would need a manual clock set as a precaution every race.
