try any local bird supplier/pet shops, I used to see them quite a lot, or check the internet for local magicians clubs, I believe it's javas that are used in magic shows

the link goes to a site in the usa,

 

in the uk the doves i am looking for are known as Java Doves and are used by magicians, barbary doves are normally fawn with other colour mutations also being available

You also get white barbary doves too, as we have two.

dunc it looks lovely but what do you do with these ...is it dove releases ..do they fly back to you and that ?????? let me know im curious cheers mate ... mikey

NAW ABSOLUTELY USELESS.  ;D ;D ;D

 

Ours do fly out but that's because they were bred here and are really hand tame, they have no homing instinct at all, but are quite territorial, males can be quite dominant and tolerate their young but not a strange male, they would fight to the death. I have both white and ringneck at the moment :)

I think it just where you buy them and what people call them, but I think they are all the same, maybe different strains :-/

 

By the way they do not Amtrak too well they are very easily stressed

Java dove is just another name for a white Barbary dove. Heres some photos of mine. And they should be kept in aviaries and not let out.:)
