Guest bigbok Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 their is a lot of breeds that look like racers in the fancy world homing pigeons can find their roots in some of our oldest breeds all added their little bit to create the modern racer
sapper756 Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 i love seeing the fancy birds So I take it you will be going to the JAGGY THISTLE then ;D ;D ;D
Guest bigbok Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 the british trumpeter club is hosting a meet at blackpool this year and we have a 60 bird entry so not a bad entry for the first time here we are based in the 18inch white sided pens at the opposite end of to the sale pens so if anyone wants to see a true fancy pigeon with a skill level second to none come have a look a one of the most challenging varieties of fancy breeds it will be worth it for look

pigeonpete Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 They are easy to miss as the entrance to the spannish hall is well concealed but it should be well sign posted this year and is definately a real eye opener for anyone who has never seen fancy pigeons before, there will be birds for sale too Will be having a look as some of them are amazing, Last time i was at blackpool (2years ago) there were some big pouter type pigeons, they were pure white, And ive never seen a tame like it, What were they, wouldnt mind 1 pair of those for in the house. How did they get so tame? As didnt back off from anyone. Amazing :-)

chrissy Posted January 14, 2010 Author Report Posted January 14, 2010 I will be having a look after a pair of horseman pouters I have wanted a pair of horseman for ages now but Tam won't let me have any :'( :'( :'(
chrissy Posted January 14, 2010 Author Report Posted January 14, 2010 do u know if there will be any pure white indian fantails for sale No idea,You wont know whats for sale till you get there, you just book the sale pens,no one actually logs what you are going to put in them, they do keep refilling them though so probably worth asking at the stand if you dont see what you are looking for straight away but if you ask around someone is bound to know a breeder of what you want and put you in touch
