getting impossible to keep

pigeons ae becoming impossible to keep in this day and age .. had two hens died since january two hens ill and one at present . had ten eggs eight hatched one died in the nest then i had to despatch two at thirty days old ,four of the young were perfect . i only have twenty  i clean them every day give them fresh water ,they get out every day for and hour or so , i pmv them give them 4+1 and look after them . i keep them more as pets i dont race or show them did once but not now . had them since 1976 . as i say every year its a new disease and its takes the joy out of keeping them one i looked forward to seeing them now its not fun no more

Like yourself I have kept pigeons a very long time. There is no doubt that it's a challenge trying to keep pigeons healthy nowadays, particularly youngsters.  If I were you, I would get your birds tested and that should help to get answers to the problems you are experiencing. Good luck.
