what truckers use to talk to each other were big in the 80's early 90's I had one as a kid after watching smokey and the bandit sort of like a long range walkie talkie

its a citizen band radio m8 , u put it in car and if u breakdown they are a god send as u can get assistance from other cb users or if u have a m8 that has one u can chat as u drive around town , i used this one for training my birds, i would tell misses back at home that i had released the birds so she would stand at loft an check they got back lol

about 5 of us have them in our club we keep in touch on race days regarding libs etc, also have them on during the race so know who has birds in etc, there are even some outwith our club has them so in touch with them as well we all stay on the one station, very good for keeping in touch and knowing if and when the birds are up etc.

Bought back many memories for me rick was on myself many years ago used to speak all over the world on mine (sidebander) got loads of albums  full of postcards coins flags etc from people i use to talk to in differant countries.Best i ever had was one day i was going to work and hooked up with a guy in australia couldn,t believe my luck,got a postcard from him as weell just to prove it.

you can speak to people across the world pigeon man,i might ave to see what i can drag out to put on offer this seems like a class item.it doesnt have to go in a vehicle for it to work though does it

nah you can wire it up on a car battery in your pigeon cree if you want or it can go in your house and run off mains power if you get an adaptor

lol i know exactly wat u mean m8 i have qsl cards from every country i can think of even had a card from dave lee travis when he was on cb  radio lol

and as some of us do i moved to 2metre radio for 2 years  , still have radio if anyone interested also ham jumbo base station lol,,,,,, now u got me startted i could go on forever lol :D :D :D

lol so many memories. i was 1 of them you sat on 19 with a kilowatt burner (amateur dj), truckers where the enemy. but all in good fun. still have loads of mates off the cb and still call them by there handle. mainly keep in touch by msn now but i still have a setup and occasionally switch it on.
