WHAT A WASTE OF SKIN ON THESE DOGS, YOU COULD GET TWO DOGS OUT OF ONE SKIN ;D ;D ;D

They can get really bad skin problems because air can't get to the skin between the folds, like ecszma

Maybe because it is a forum, and people are commenting as they would in any other thread. Advise and comments about problems with this breed may be helpful, even though you do not want to buy one.

Personally I think it is a shame how these dogs have been genetically bred to be the way they are, they take a lot of care and attention to keep them healthy

I have had a number of Staffies and as responsible breeders we are trying to breed problems out of them, not induce more

hi,could you tell me what faults you are trying to breed out of the staffs?do you breed to type for the show ring?or are you breeding to type regarding size/build?as having had a number of them i know that the show dog is totally different to the type that are usually bred, the show dogs are usually smaller, amongs other things.not trouble causing just interested to know.

Show dogs depend on the breed standard and certain judges prefer different parts of the standard, so there is a certain flexability among judges

What I was refering to was inherant problems like eye problems that have been noticed among staffs, I would not breed unless they were eye checked and a certificate from a vet.

To me this is a good looking staffie but I and other likeminded would not breed if she was not checked for certain conditions. Some just breed no matter what :(

yes i agree it is a very good looking staff, which by the look of it is a show standard dog.i understand what you mean now when you say inherant problems ,eyes etc.unfortunately the staff i have now would be considered

wrong to some breeders as he is approx19 inch tall and very heavy boned.but when he was younger i was always being asked by some people to breed him.
