Guest peter.j Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 ~Welcome Peter and good luck in your new venture! What made you want to keep pigeons? Phil sorry should of mentioned in my intro i was a bit of a ba****d as a kid but i was always interested in birds tho so my old man got me to knock a shack up [i say shack rather than shed cos of the state of it] and gave me two pair of fantails he got off a mate i got the pigeon bug off these birds but wanted the excitement and anticipation when ,where and if they where coming home and its stayed with me...pete
pjc Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Well done, its suprising how the bug bites! If you know anybody or can find anybody local to you it would be a good idea to get to know them and shadow them to learn about racing and careing for the birds. This would give you time and ideas on your own loft design ready to start. Phil

Whats it called Cumbernauld Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Hi Pete, Sorry to here your local guys are not very approachable. Like everything eles in life pigeon racing and those within it, are but a representation of our population, hence you do get some funny beggers. But hay thats life mate, rise above this and enjoy. Happy days Rab Smith
