andrew Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Double Cottage Breeding & Racing Lofts I am currently taking orders for 2007 young birds bred from Stock Team; I only have 10 pairs of stock which have been very carefully selected. De Klaks – I Purchased 2 Direct Jos Van Limpt De Klak birds in 2004, along with 6 from Direct A en C Van Gestal, 1 from Arie Van Beek, and 4 from Will & Falco Ebben. From these I have bred a number of young birds which now make up my stock; lines include Blauwe 613, DE 25, and Kleinzoon Marietje Etc. Van Loons – We have recently purchased 4 key stock pigeons responsible for many winners for S&P Kulpa also 2 racing hens from their very best Winning Van Loons these birds are producing birds to win at club, fed, classic & National Level. These birds are from the Planet & Hudson & Lowe Lines. Vandenabeele x G&S Verkerk – we have recently aquired 2 top class birds from one of the top sprint lofts In the UK Mr & Mrs C Lycett & Son, we have a daughter bred from the nest sister to “Houdini” who won 2nd RPRA Sprint Champion 2005 we also have UK. We also have children from GB04P48092 bred by Mr & Mrs C Lycett & Son (Dtr of “Cassie” & “Mansell”) paired to a G&S Verkerk based cock form Hans Eijerkamp & Zn. Due to limited stock pairs we are unable to take lots of orders so please order early to avoid disappointment. Wiley Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Young birds £75 - £250 each Kit of 6 Young birds £500 bit pricey for not a very well established stud and that hasnt had the best publicity!

Andrew must agree with you regarding Kulpa pigeons class pigeons but just got a feeling your not going to get many young birds out of a pair what are aged 1991 also the other pair 1996 just my opinion.

Guest Paulo Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Well expensive I don't care what a young birds bred off its still just as likely to be a piece of rubbish as it is good. 80 quid is the max I'd pay for a young bird otherwise I'd be scared to race it to test it. £250 quid is outrageous. As an example I went to see a top flyer the other week and he sold me 2x 03 hens dark latcham busschaerts. This guy is a widowhood flyer and only flies his hens as young birds. One of these hens had a fed postion now fair now I got mates rates as one of my dads mates is his best friend but I also ordered some YB's 6 at 20 quid a piece! Not been funny but these birds are just as likely as yours to win. The guy is a legend in the North East. Before anyone asks not giving his name out as people from my club might come on here and my dads told me I've got to learn to keep it secret where I get birds from. Fair enough 20 quid is very cheap and you have to charge a fair price with being a stud but 250 quid or 500 for a kit of 6 is taking the urine to be frank. Annoying thing is your birds look decent and some people off here have had good deals off you but your pricing is mad you just seem to pluck a price out of thin air and when it doesn't sell you knock it down really low. I think thats one of the reasons you get a bit of hammer on here.

Hey Andrew if you over sell, just hollar and I will send ya some over. We can both make some $$$.... ;D ;D ;D Just kidding. Hope you do well and the ybs fly straight and win all the prizes.. Ed

Wiley Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 a young bird is an untested pigeon put it that way,you buy it you could lose it of the loft,£35-£50 quid is the maxium price i would pay.Is there any stud that charges currently apart from andrews £500 for 6
mac1 Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 well said paulo in the n/east there is some very good flyers, well known all over the uk,1 r 2 in my fed and they wouldnt charge no wer near that for young birds.ive bought one pair and if they dont score i get another pair free untill im happy cant go wrong.
Guest Paulo Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 funny thing is the old time pigeon fanciers do charge working mens prices if I was to put the two birds I brought in a sale I'd chance to get 200 quid a piece for them.
tillo Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 i totaly agree his prices are mad i only asked for £35 a yb from my top class van de rhee pigeons when i sold some this year and i probably paid a lot more for my stock i think people are trying to get rich quick.but to me im not bothered as im rich anyway lol
richard Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 I don't see what peoples problem is on here, if they aint worth the money don't buy them! I certainly won't be! Cheers Richard
andrew Posted December 8, 2006 Author Report Posted December 8, 2006 I Am not forcing anybody to purchase them if you dont want to buy dont buy simple as cany be any simpler. Not Intrested dont read post dont comment simple!
Mike Lycett Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 You're bang out of order there Andrew You place an advert on the forum & you're inviting comments - both good & bad. You can't have it both ways you know!!
andrew Posted December 8, 2006 Author Report Posted December 8, 2006 i dont mind comments good or bad, but why complain about price if your not intrested move on if your intrested contact me.
Mike Lycett Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 As I said before - everyone has an opinion & its open forum. Personally I have thoughts on your pricing regime but I never quote it here - simply because I can't be bothered. Its interesting though that guys like Stu Wilcox and myself sell pigeons online from time to time and on no occasion has anyone EVER took either of us to task on our pricing regime - yet you would seemingly attract it Do you ever wonder "why" ???
