[WALKERS TRANSPORT UPDATE] I post an update from Mark Walker and Walkers Transport last week. I wanted to confirm a few things. Walkers are NOT pulling out of European transport of pigeons and livestock. They are for now suspending transport after the first week of December. I spoke to Mark and he said: “In the near future there is going to be a change in documentation and walkers are waiting on authorisation from DEFRA, until further notice we are going to have to suspend European shipments. “

So the long and the short of it Walkers are doing everything they can to be able to resume European transport of racing pigeons as soon as they can. With Brexit around the corner things are up in the air and until such time the facts and documentation are in place the suspension of continental transport is a must. In the meantime they are continuing their service within the UK.

Hope this helps.
