Same way as a breeder buyer however, it is run over 2 races in an organisation? So the bird must be sent to both races and timed, and the best average over the two races decides your winner? What's your thoughts could it work? An inland race and a channel race?
Roland Posted November 2, 2020 Report Posted November 2, 2020 We have done that. Also an average of y/b season.-- All scored even if lost later on. Both very good fun. However many moaned, wanting just to send the shortest race or such. Mostly was always the 'Longest race of say Berwick 250 miles. All went and scored back in them days. But wingers kept reducing the distances, till hard to make it worth while. Got so many just bought in for future pairings etc. Days of a fancier buying two or more back and racing became somewhat less.
