Obviousley a super racing pigeon but his he any good at breeding good pigeons, not trying to be funny mate but not all good racers make good breeders.
deanbruton Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 at only £30 its worth a punt at that to race
timbarra Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 look guys , to be honest I have bought the pigeon in and he comes with 2 youngsters which i am not interested in and i want to blend him with my own champions. so thought i would offer 2 top youngsters for sale at a £30 each as christmas is coming and someone would maybe want early xmas prissie from the wife !!!!!???? look 2 youngsters early bred to bred from next year. the sire is 10. the only reason pigeons dont breed good pigeons is because their mates are of less quality 9/10. where else would you get a baby from a 23 x 1st winner at £30 ??? nowhere! so jump to it they will sell trust me. cheers guys.
timbarra Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 One sold !!!!! any others for the other ... sex not guarenteed
timbarra Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 yes frans van wildemeersch.. but a champion is a champion regardless as you know.
retired Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 yes frans van wildemeersch.. but a champion is a champion regardless as you know. nothing wrong with fvw
schouwman71 Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 but what about the dam of the 2 youngsters, 1,has she bred winners or even g,dam of winners 2,has she won herself 3,are the 2 you are selling the same quality as the sire. no matter how good the cock is you still need the same quality in the hen and the youngsters you are selling, ime not saying there not the same quality but thats the question nobody seems to ask when buying birds and most will not refund if your not happy with them.Theres a lot of belguim crap turning up in the homing world recently all been bulled up by the auctioneer, and compare them to some pigeons that have flown in this country would have been put in the dustbin.
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 yes frans van wildemeersch.. but a champion is a champion regardless as you know. A champion racer i think we all agree on that but what as he bred that is the question.
retired Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 A champion racer i think we all agree on that but what as he bred that is the question. i think for £30 it is a good gamble, look on elimar pigeons bidded up to £950, these 950 birds offer the same gamble as the ones Timbarra has offered just 920 cheaper. I am not saying these fvw on offer will be world beaters but very few people sell pigeons in the bhw for less than that many of these pigeons are advertised wit the champions line but it ends up being 6 generations back on the pedigree A great opportunity for someone
red1chq3 Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 Is BEER coming from Bertie Fletcher?
schouwman71 Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 i believe the beer was a direct wildy, and berti fletcher did have some of the best, but did you see the size of his lofts, they were huge.
timbarra Posted November 11, 2007 Author Report Posted November 11, 2007 what do people want for £30?? soom people ask questions when they themselves know they dont even want the pigeon. well the 2 youngsters are sold.. as for your questions, i think you just try and pick holes in things you know nothing about. schouwman you ask what is the dam of the youngsters? well mate she is a good hen, who in their right mind would pair a rubbish hen to a cock like this.. i have CHAMPION BEER 23 X 1ST, CHAMPION TOPLOADER 11 X 1ST, CHAMPION GABRIEL 11 X 1ST BACK AT MY LOFT !! CHAMPION 02 6 X1ST, CHAMPION GOEDE VALE 10 X 1ST , CHAMPION BALLACK 52 PRIZES, ALL AT MY LOFT BESIDES OTHER TOP FEMALES AND MALES BREEDING WINNERS !!! WHEN YOU PEOPLE HAVE THIS QUALITY IN YOUR OWN LOFT THEN COME AND ASK IRELEVENT QUESTIONS AND OFFER STUPID MONEY (CHEAP) FOR GOOD WINNING BLOODLINES. ANY TOP FANCIER OR PLAYER WILL ADVICE YOU TO GET CHILDREN OF THE CHAMPION RACERS , AND WHEN YOUR OFFERED THEM AT A SNIP OF THEIR WORTH YOU QUESTION IT. I BET MOST OF YOU HAVE HEARD OR EVEN SAID THE APPLE DOES NOT FALL FAR FROM THE TREE.. WELL IT DOESNT SO NEXT TIME YOUR OFFERED QUALITY BE QUICKER AND STOP FART ARSEING AROUND. WELL DONE TO THE 2 GENTLEMEN WHO HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH AND RESEARVED THE YOUNGSTERS. ;D
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 The bad apples fall closer to the tree than the good ones,Think about it.
T_T Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 Spencer, It takes all sorts. The world is full of doubting thomases. If it's cheap, it's no good and if it's dear, why is it so expensive ? lol. Youngsters off the Sire alone is worth the money. I suppose if people have been had over once they become a bit apprehensive and try to save the same thing happening again, but £30 ? More than pleased with my two.
The White Rapido Man Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 I think that is a suberb price for a bird with such a great scoring sire.
timbarra Posted November 14, 2007 Author Report Posted November 14, 2007 cheers TWRM and CLIVE. hope all is well spencer
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 I think that is a suberb price for a bird with such a great scoring sire. I also think that was a fantastic price as you say for a bird that as done so well at racing truly a fantastic racer if that is what you take into consideration when buying birds, now to me if someone had put a advert on here saying they had caught a pair of birds off the local church didn,t know nothing about them but they had bred 6 youngsters off them and they all won i know which birds I would have the younsters off.
timbarra Posted November 14, 2007 Author Report Posted November 14, 2007 well what can i say, you best get up your local church roof and grab yourself a couple.. you seem as though you want to cause contrversy .. but there is none, if sir you relay on somebody to breed you good pigeons of 2 strays then it says alot for the quality in your own loft , does it not ?? well if you looked at my website and looked at my birds as a lot of people do, you will notice champions and quality throughout my loft. can i ask if you have the same ? any pigeons of multipul 1st prizes ... any champions , any that would put mine in the shade ?? this is not a contest or meant as an insult to yourself sir , but unless you have as good as me, i think you better be getting that ladder out and visit the vicar of Dibley and ask if you can have some van der steeples from he's church. ;D
timbarra Posted November 14, 2007 Author Report Posted November 14, 2007 THERE IS MORE CHANCE OF A PIGEON INHERITING THE WINNING GENES FROM WINNING PARENTS.. !! IS THAT NOT THE IDEA ?
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Surely at the end of the day when people spend there money they would sooner buy off a proven pair of breeders no matter where they are from, the only controversy here is the fact someone asked what the pigeon had bred and I believe there as still been no answear.Perhaps I dont have birds with multiple 1st,s or any birds that will put yours in the shade, but I do have birds that breed me winners in my stock pen and to me i,m not worried where they came from or what they are bred off.Surely I cant be wrong in saying you would sooner have a bird that as bred 21 1st prizwinners than one that as won 21 1st,s,but then who in their right mind would sell a bird that is breeding multiple winners.
mark Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 well what can i say, you best get up your local church roof and grab yourself a couple.. you seem as though you want to cause contrversy .. but there is none, if sir you relay on somebody to breed you good pigeons of 2 strays then it says alot for the quality in your own loft , does it not ?? well if you looked at my website and looked at my birds as a lot of people do, you will notice champions and quality throughout my loft. can i ask if you have the same ? any pigeons of multipul 1st prizes ... any champions , any that would put mine in the shade ?? this is not a contest or meant as an insult to yourself sir , but unless you have as good as me, i think you better be getting that ladder out and visit the vicar of Dibley and ask if you can have some van der steeples from he's church. ;D denny hayles won the cscfc with a bird bred off a pair he got out of the roof at prelli. they had to go across in a cable car to ring them.
