For sale 99/50

I am still overstocked to get down to 12 stock pair (still too many !!) the following 6 birds must go. They have been selected on age and in one case I don’t have a suitable long distance cock. Most of these birds were purchased 2003 and 2004 prior to moving from Yorkshire to Devon at the end of 2004.

I did not get a loft up until September 2005, so only flew YB in 2006 and this season 2007 with Yearlings and YB.

There are 3 Van Der Wegen  for sale bred by Andy Gregson, these I would recommend if you are in to distance racing their parents were bred by Jac Van Der Wegen, they are a very inbred family and perfect for a cross. I sent a full brother of the two cocks to JVWard recently, if you want to find out the quality of pigeon , I’m sure he won’t mind you sending him a pm (I’ve not asked him, hope he won’t mind!)

All pigeons were fertile in 2007, but please remember the age on some of these birds if you bid for them, as in all older stock there can be no guarantee they will be fertile.

This bird is to be sold to the best bid by next Thursday evening 22nd November at 9 pm. If there is a bid in the last ten minutes of the sale, the sale will remain open for a further  ten minutes, e.g. a bid comes in at 8.51, the sale extends to 9.10, a counter bid comes in at 9.08, the sale extends to 9.20, no bid by 9.20 the sale is finished.

1 Bl d C 99/50 purchased from Brian & Sue Stone of Belper a Busschaert grandson of Champion Bruno winner of 5 x 1st feds (I believe), I don’t know much about this pigeon  but someone will know I’m sure. I have no pedigree for this bird but it bred several winners for Brian and Sue, and this year a yearling was 2nd Cholet for me 290 miles beaten by half a yard per minute in a slow race, I also sent the same yearling to Saintes 380 mile and if I’d clocked she would have been 3rd but she was a poor 3rd coming the following morning when there were 2 decent day birds so I didn’t clock her. This year with YB I only flew two races at 78 mile and two races at 100 mile, this cock bred me a 6th from 78 mile.

It may be that there will be no more bids on this pigeon. However if you do bid please do not leave it until the very last minute. If there is a any bid from 8.50 to 9.00 then the bids will extend to 9.10 and so on, so there is no need to wait until the last minute to bid because the sale will remain open for a further ten minute frame.

In the event of any dispute regarding times my decision will be final and a condition of bidding (though I don’t anticipate any).

I was sorting out transfers and realised I have never transferred this pigeon and I don’t know if Brian Stone has. So Could I advise there may not be a transfer with this pigeon but I can confirm I purchased it and it belongs to me. Roland if you should wish to withdraw your bid because of this , then that of course is in order
